Peterson Rosslare Classic Rustic Series: The Peterson Rosslare is one of those iconic pipes that every smoker drools over in the catalogue, with a “one day i’ll treat myself” in the vain hope that their partner’s ear wigging and will buy it for them. If there was a Pipe that should go on the Irish flag it would surely be the Rosslare. Many pipemakers try and mimic it’s style but nobody gets it quite as good as Peterson. There are a few finishes in the Rosslare collection, the Classic is the given the Peterson sandblasting before staining jet-black and finished with a high gloss lacquer and a Sterling silver band. Truly stunning!
Peterson 106 Shape: The Peterson Rosslare 106 is a straight briar with a mid sized, slightly tapered, Billiard shaped bowl. It has a thick wall, with a fairly deep bowl and average bore. The Billiard shape is one of the most popular bowl shapes as the shape is more comfortable in the hand. The deep bowl makes for a versatile pipe as the fill can be varied for a short satisfying smoke or a long intense fireside session.
Fishtail mouthpiece: The standard mouthpiece for most pipe manufacturers. The fishtail has the exit hole in the end of the mouthpiece. The end of the mouthpiece is flat, which some people find easier to grip, and suits the smoker who doesn’t get on with the p.lip style.
