Peterson Jekyll & Hyde Series: 2015 seems to be the year that Peterson not only broke the mold they incinerated it!!! Over the last few years Peterson have really pushed the boat out and begun dragging the pipe world out of the 16th century. Yes there is always a place for tradition and heritage but in turn there is also a place for modernisation so it is with great delight we welcome this new range to our shelves. As the name would suggest the Jekyll and Hyde has two sides to it's character. On one side there is a rustic black stained finish but on the other side you get a smooth and refined edge with a deep rich red stain. Simply stunning, well done again Peterson!
Peterson 05 Shape: The Peterson Jekyll and Hyde 05 is a full bent briar with a fairly large, Dublin shaped bowl. The 05 fits the hand beautifully as the lipped top provides the perfect resting place for the index finger and thumb. (Rather like a Nonic Pint Glass) It has a fairly large bore and a good thick wall, which allows the smoker to get a good fill of tobacco, without the worry of overheating. If the above hasn't satisfied your appetite we ought to also point out the 05 has a more exaggerated curve than normal, which helps the system do its job more effectively.
Fishtail mouthpiece: The standard mouthpiece for most pipe manufacturers. The fishtail has the exit hole in the end of the mouthpiece. The end of the mouthpiece is flat, which some people find easier to grip, and suits the smoker who doesn't get on with the p.lip style.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a generic image that we have taken from a random selection of this pipe model from our stocks. It is unlikely to be the exact pipe you will receive. Due to the nature of the raw material used and this being a handmade product there will be some variation in grain, colour and finish. There could also be a slight variation in the dimensions provided.
