A Single Loose H.Upmann Robusto, Cuban Cigar!
H.Upmann: The Upmann brand was founded in 1844 by the Upmann brothers who were two wealthy bankers with a healthy appreciation for the smoking qualities of hand rolled cigars combined with the Cuban flavour. However they found the majority of Cubans around at the time were too strong to enjoy comfortably. The Upmann was therefore introduced to fill this void and are now a household name and one of the most popular cigars in our humidors.
H.Upmann Robusto Anejados: The H. Upmann Robusto is the fifth release from an exciting new concept from Habanos S.A. Anejados (Aged). Not only is this vitola new to the H. Upmann brand the cigars have also been boxed aged for between 5 to 8 years in the perfect humidity conditions of Cuba. This ageing affords the cigars a mellower, more refined taste as the blend of the leaves meld together over time realising their full potential. A mild to medium strength cigar with a smooth flavour.
Loose Cigars: When the H.Upmann Cigars leave the factory they are packaged loose in a Cedar lined box. This helps the cigars to develop and flavours to diffuse. They are stored in our humidors until dispatch and ideally should be transferred directly into a humidor. If you are buying them for a special occasion they should keep for up to a week in a cool, dark place.
Hand Rolled: The tradition of being rolled on a maiden's thigh can be questioned but the added quality a cigar beholds from being hand rolled by an experienced Cigar Roller cannot. Each cigar is rolled to the same density with full length filler (leaves), providing the perfect draw and ash build up, which cannot be matched by a machine.
Preparation: Please note the H.Upmann cigars require cutting or punching before they can be enjoyed.
