Quaitch Bowl A Quaich, or Cuach in Gaelic is a traditional Scottish two-handled drinking bowl who's history is steeped in myth and legend. The shape supposedly takes its inspiration from scallop shells, druid ritual cups or blood letting vessels depending who you ask. They were traditionally carved from single blocks of wood, using a technique known as "treen" and were often awarded as prizes or given as gifts. Quaich were traditionally used for Whisky or Brandy and were a symbol of trust between fellow drinkers, as it's two handled design, when passing between clansmen, meant neither could be holding a weapon. A truly unique and personal gift for any occasion. Composed of high quality, lead free pewter, the quaich will not tarnish over time and is also supplied with a cream and black presentation box and funnel.
