Charatan Pipe Tobacco: Charatan is a London brand steeped in Tobacco history dating back to 1863 and is a brand long associated with Dunhill. When the current owners of this brand learnt of the loss of Dunhill Pipe Tobaccos from the worldwide market in 2018 they jumped to the aid of many mourning pipe smokers and produced their own blends as more or less identical replacements. The consensus so far from blind taste testing carried out in pipe clubs is that there is no notable difference. So mourn no more folks.
Charatan 1992 Mixture Pipe Tobacco: The Charatan 1992 Mixture Pipe Tobacco has been produced as a direct replacement for the delisted Dunhill 965 Pipe Tobacco. 1992 was the year of inauguration of the company behind the new Charatan blends. A selection of small Latakia leaves is used to impart the rich nutty flavour and aroma. Bright Oriental leaf from Macedonia is added for roundness. To complete the blend, Brown Cavendish tobacco, rich in oils and aroma is added. A delightful fragrant smoke for the more experienced smoker.
Ready Rubbed Pipe Tobacco: The Charatan 1992 Tobacco is a ready rubbed tobacco blend. Ready rubbed tobacco is made up of loose strands and is ready for immediate use in the pipe with no preparation for added convenience and enjoyment.
