Brebbia Brebbia was initially the result of a partnership between Brebbia founder Enea Buzzi and Achille Savinelli of Savinelli pipes, the pair began manufacturing pipes in 1947 in Italy and now produce nearly 35 thousand air cured briar pipes annually. Brebbia continue an almost 70 year tradition of pipe making, following the same 50 step process, They use the same antique machine lathes for the early stages of pipe production while finishing every piece by hand. The designs are modern takes on Italian classics, and are often smooth, sandblasted in a tumbler or wire wheel rusticated. Some of the stems are hand cut from cumberland rod, but the majority are preform vulcanite or acrylic bits, and all tenons are a Brebbia designed inserted tenon which often fit a sleeved mortise.
Pipa Naif Sabbiata This shape is Brebbia's bold take on the hourglass shape, almost a combination of a Dublin and a Volcano, as unusual shape it is it sits very well in the hand and offers a good depth of chamber. Finished with a deep toffee coloured cumberland style stem and the MPB accenting and stainless steel band.
MARBLED STEMS: The marbled mouthpiece in this picture is a one off and is unlikely to be the exact mouthpiece you will receive. There is variation from pipe to pipe with substantial differences in colours, patterns and marbling.
